Intuitive Poems
Give me a word or theme and I'll write you an intuitive poem.

My work is rooted in curiosity, connection, and the belief that creativity is a bridge between people and ideas. I draw inspiration from everyday moments, natural forms, and the textures of human experience, translating them into pieces that invite interaction and reflection. Whether through visual art, performance, or collaborative workshops, I aim to spark emotion, inspire dialogue, and encourage viewers to see the familiar in new ways. For me, art is not just an end product—it’s an ongoing process of exploration, growth, and shared discovery.
Artist Statement
Heidi Pauer, from Concord, NH, has been a "mixed media" artist since she was very young, seeing the possibility of any type of material to create something new. She has early memories of making beautiful portraits of women “painting” their faces with her mom’s make up on paper. She made a full-size Miss Piggy head out of paper mâché to wear over her head in elementary school. She taught herself calligraphy with a fountain pen in sixth grade because the letters looked interesting, and a year later, she hand-lettered wedding invitations for multiple teachers, and even later, hand-lettered awards and diplomas in high school. She designed and created her ruffled, shimmery pink 80’s prom dress. After college, she fell in love with acting in and directing live stage productions. Kind Finds was born when she started creating jewelry on a whim and kept exploring that medium.
Heidi creates art, writes poetry, dances, acts, sings, sews, and tries just about any creative expression because she feels called to do so. She doesn’t worry if what she is creating is "good enough"...if it brings her joy or if she is curious about an idea she has, she just goes for it! Practicing improvisation by using her intuition really helps her stay in the moment and let go of expectations. And she really cares about making the world a better place, through repurposing materials and through daily interactions of kindness. After 30 years as a public-school educator, she made the leap to being a full-time artist with her Kind Finds jewelry business in July 2022. Who knows what she will create tomorrow? She will continue creating something and choosing kindness, and she is open to this ever-evolving life journey that she has intentionally chosen.
